Our annual walk raises vital funds for local "Mito Kids" and their caregivers. Please join us for a fun and information filled Saturday in September. Live music, karoke, a terrific kids playground and beautiful walking trails by the lake. The genetics team from Albany Medical Center will be on hand as well.

Registration begins at 10 a.m., walk at 11 a.m. Fun 'til 1!

Thanks to McKownville U.M.C.'s Fellowship & Growth Team, donations will be accepted at this concert to benefit the Amanda's Journey Foundation.

Lost Radio Rounders will appear with John Borst on guitar & vocals, Paul Jossman on Banjo, Mike Kelley on banjo uke & piano, and Greg Haymes on percussion & harmonica. There will likely be brief appearances by Amaal Yehia (vocals) and Pastor Steve Butler (bass).

Be forewarned: there will be bad banjo jokes!

Please note: Caffe Lena is locatated on the second floor of an historic building in Saratoga Springs, NY and has no wheelchair access. Rensselaer County teen Amanda Perrotta journaled about her joys and trials in the two years following a devastating diagnosis of Mitochrondrial Depleteion Syndrome.

"Amazing Amanda: My Journey Through Mito" recounts how a local teen showed others accross the U.S. that they could live with chronic medical issues in a positive way. It is the inspiring true story of a girl who found her mission in life on the day she was diagnosed with a terminal illness.
